about

Just as the trails and streams wind their way through Bent Creek Experimental Forest, these tunes are intertwined with my time in Boston, life on the road, and peaceful visits back home in Asheville. This album is for all the wonderful folks I’ve met along the way.

I am endlessly thankful to the stellar band of my peers who have inspired me beyond measure and brought this music to life. Special thanks to Aoife O’Donovan for her generous help coaching the band as we went into the studio. Thanks to Mark Simos for his invaluable guidance with tune writing. Thanks to my teachers Bruce Molsky, Joe K. Walsh, Darol Anger, and Matt Glaser for their advice and support. Many thanks to my parents David and Monique, and my brother Daniel for their generosity and encouragement. Thanks to Ethan Setiawan, Mallory Cunningham, Ben Sollee, and Bennett Sullivan for their thoughtful feedback along the span of this project. Finally, a heartfelt thanks to all the folks who backed this album financially and made the whole thing possible!
